I have a friend who is an Internist at a college - and she had a patient with Toxic Shock from the boil from her hairless pudenda ... The boil apparently looked relatively small - but once it was opened that was another matter.

I had one with a big carbuncle of the clitoris.

My recommendation (before hearing about the TSS patient) has been - hot soaks - and quit shaving / waxing etc.

Not sure what it should be now.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
