CoPays - was - 4D ultrasoundFrom: Joanne Bulley, MD (islesannie@yahoo.com)Tue Dec 23 21:39:36 2003
Yes - it S**KS! My policy is that they pay the copay AT the visit - or there is a $5 surgharge. It is amazing how many suddenly "find" the cash - check - or credit card! And they sign a consent to the billing policy that includes a fee if I have to send them to collections. I used to use small claims courth - which worked really weel - for very little $ - but then NH got this weird governor - and the court staffs have been cut to the point where they can only marginally handle the mandated cases. So I went to a collections services - but the fee I tack on is equal to or greater than what the service charges. Joanne

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
