What's more interesting is how only 24 hours later, you see a sac. How big was the gestational sac? Without any symptoms, I don't think I would have had the patient come in the very next day, unlikely to see a change in the ultrasound, and the beta won't be helpful. Therefore, I think the change in the ultrasound in just 24 hours is more of an issue. I'm not suprised to see sac. This is when you are suppose to see one; ie at 5 weeks with a quant > 1500. I agree seeing the pt 48hrs may be appropiate, but not 4 days later.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
