Perhaps those of you on this mailing list could answer the following question:

In your opinion, what is the core journal subscription list for people doing OB/GYN?

I will list a few journals. Do you think they are worth reading or not? I would appreciate any additional suggestions.

1) NEJM 2) JAMA 3) Lancet 4) BMJ 5) Green Journal (Obstetrics & Gynecology) 6) Grey Journal (American Journal Of Obsterrics & Gynecology) 7) ?? OB/GYN Survey ?? 8) Journal of Maternal Fetal Medicine (I cannot remember it's new name -- maybe it is now called The journal of maternal-fetal & neonatal medicine 9) British Journal OB/GYN 10) ?? Acta obstetricia et gynecologica Scandinavica ?? 11) The Australian & New Zealand journal of obstetrics & gynaecology 12) Baillieres Clin Obstet Gynaecol 13) International journal of gynaecology and obstet 14) Ultrasound in obstetrics & gynecology 15) Fetal diagnosis and therapy 15) Seminars in perinatology. 16) Fertility and sterility

I have left out some of the cancer journals and some super subspeciality journals.

Any comments about this list, or suggestins, or additions or deletions?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
