I am not aware of any effective "laser" treatments, but there is a machine called the Relume that uses targeted UVA light to promote pigmentary changes in the skin that temporarily camouflage stretch marks = that are lighter in tone than the surrounding skin. In effect, it is a = targeted sun tan to the stretch marks alone. This returns their coloration to something more like the surrounding normal skin. It takes = 2 treatments a week for 4 weeks, and the effects will last a few months = up to a year depending on a host of variables. For stretch marks that = are darker than the surrounding skin, you can use IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) to remove pigment. This effect is longer lasting, potentially even permanent.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
