New question-fistula and delivery route

A patient has a rectal fistula repair (etiology of the fistula not childbirth or inflammatory bowel disease related) and is now, a few years later, pregnant. She asks what the recommended route of delivery should be. I'm looking for references or articles to help her. In my training we would have recommended primary C/S but I want to know if there is different thinking now. All thoughts and references appreciated.

Just curious - when was the last time You renewed that poetic license? Think Ben D would've agreed with sentiment embodied in Lucy Anna -- Liberal Govt is much the same as Conservative, just without the organization. So chads are left hanging about, uncounted. Tho paternalistic, He cared about the worker. tj

Yes.... Workers of the world unite! You have nothing to lose but your... your... your JOBS!!!

Yeah, that's the ticket!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
