Dan, Although I was never consulted on this case, that was my response immediately upon hearing about it. I learned the lesson early in my career when an associate operated on a patient for a 10 cm mass found on MRI. At the time of surgery, no mass, normal pelvis. Lynn

NEVER do anything based on an MRI.(Imaging Procedure of choice may be inserted for MRI)
