The progesterone would likely cause a recurrence of the pain. With estrogen alone, there may be some pain initially, but it will burn itself out aftere a couple of months.

I have a pt who underwent tah-bso for extensive endometriosis. if the pt wanted estrogen for hot flushes and night sweats, would you also give a progesterone to protect against potential endometrial implants in the pelvis becoming cancer? Thanks
