Pt's mother took more labor notes than the nurse did, asked for (and was refused) a copy of the nurse's labor notes, and videotaped everything, until the nurse made her turn the camera off during the 4-minute shoulder dystocia. Actually, I wish they hadn't made her turn the camera off. I collect videos of the Gaskin maneuver and this mom was phenomenal. I have NEVER seen anyone roll to all-fours as fast as she did. Absolutely incredible. Grandma's comment after I saved her grandson's life (and shaved a few months off of my own, I'm sure), was that he probably wouldn't have been so big(10lb.5oz.) if we had induced her last Friday night.
