Successful induction today (at 41.5 wks by U/S). Pt's mother took more labor notes than the nurse did, asked for (and was refused) a copy of the nurse's labor notes, and videotaped everything, until the nurse made her turn the camera off during the 4-minute shoulder dystocia. Actually, I wish they hadn't made her turn the camera off. I collect videos of the Gaskin maneuver and this mom was phenomenal. I have NEVER seen anyone roll to all-fours as fast as she did. Absolutely incredible. Grandma's comment after I saved her grandson's life (and shaved a few months off of my own, I'm sure), was that he probably wouldn't have been so big(10lb.5oz.) if we had induced her last Friday night. Yeah, he might have only been a little 10lb 1oz. peanut.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
