At 7 weeks???????????????? Do you have any idea what this means???????????? The G.S. shouldn't be big enough to beak?????????? I would like to see the picture. Dan -----Original Message----- From: Richard Chudacoff, MD [mailto:rchudacoff@mylinuxisp.com] Sent: Sunday, August 17, 2003 1:51 PM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: Incompetent cervix at 6 weeks I have a 25 yo G0 at 6+6 weeks EGA who presented to me with about a 5 day history of spotting, ranging between pink mixed with mucus, to old, brown blood. She came in to the office and had a pretty benign exam, although when I did a transvaginal ultrasound, the cervix measure only 1.4 to 1.7 cm, and looked like it was beaking. She has no history of cervical manipulation, nor a maternal history of DES. I have the US picture on file, and can send it to whomever would like to see it. Other than waiting until 13 weeks and performing a cerclage, as well as bed rest as much as possible (tough as she is a teacher and school just started) any suggestions? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
