I work 3-12 hour noc shifts. My scedule is 3 12's in a row. This is more of a question than anything I guess. I have not had a period for about 4 years, have dealt with hot flashes night sweats etc. without medication. I am 53. For about the last 3 months whenever I have a hot flash I get nauseated and more likely than not I vomit. It's only during the hot flash or immediately thereafter that it happens and usually at work. I have no pain, and have been worked up G.I.wise with no findings. Can this be r/t menopause and what can I do? My doc has me on Prempro and hot flashes have lessened but I still experience nausea. This makes me miserable especially when I am trying to care for patients and can hardly hold my head up due to the nausea. Any help would be appreciated!!!! -- Phyllis A.
