When I was employed at a place that had these productivity things --- eveyone got their base pay - and nearly everytime it was time to pay out the productivity bonuses ... guess what - there was a cash problem wo those of us who were busting our butts...

You got it - we didn't get the $. So we were supporting those who didn't produce. Pedi, Ortho, Uro, ObGyn and Derm were what kept the place from going totally under back then. I've been gone for almost 5 years now.

Glad I am out of there. I make a bit less money - but that is because I CHOOSE to see patients for 20-30 minute visits and go home at a decent hour and take a day off each week (well pretty consistently).

So if you help a group do this - MAKE sure there will be the cash there do do that!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
