But remember the more words you add to the filters, the more good messages don't get through either Dan -----Original Message----- From: Lea Harth [mailto:LEA.HARTH@medispecialty.com] Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2003 8:46 PM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: Re: Spam on the forum I've been going through the forums lately and have noticed a drastic increase in spam on the lay person forums and popped over here to see what the level was like here and see by some of your comments that you are also having a time with it. Let me tell you what is being done - as time allows I'm going through the forums collecting the spam posts and picking out words, phrases, domain names, email addresses, etc. to be used to further update our filters and get the posts removed as quickly as possibly. As you know from your own personal email that sometimes the volume of spam far outweighs the amount of useful and wanted email - especially during the recent past couple of weeks. For us it is multiplied by 30 with all of the different email addresses that they hit us with so we are doing our best to try to keep up. For those of you who can spare a few seconds to do so - please send the url of any posts that need to be removed to lea@obgyn.net and/or admin@obgyn.net along with any words or phrases that you think should be added to the spam filter to try to avoid a repeat appearance. Any suggestions or ideas for improving the forum please send to admin@obgyn.net

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
