Also, there was a study done in the early 80's that showed based on income and patient satisfaction, the most successful physicians graduated in the bottom half of their medical school class... Lynn Remember EXACTLY 50% of all Doctors grauated in the bottom half of their medical school class. signed Proud Bottom halfer. Dan Interesting point, and important. When "the law" defines substandard care, they don't define the standard as "the average" doctor. And that's a good thing. If that were the definition, then 1/2 the doctors would by definition be practicing substandard care. Joe P.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
