Re: Hormone-Taking Is Linked to DementiaFrom: Dr. Ainsworth (ainsron@sbcglobal.net)Wed May 28 12:58:19 2003
That is a good point, also true of doctors who continue to prescribe it in "the same old way." I'm always baffled when a patient expresses a great deal of concern about the small, but real side effect profile of the medication I am prescribing or the recommended treatment risks and then she continues to refuse to quit smoking because she gets nervous and gains weight, in spite of huge, well documented risks of heart disease, stroke, and cancer, while she additionally continues to complain about her difficulty breathing caused by her unremitting asthma. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
