My experience with these is that there is chronic cervicitis with large numbers of Nabothian Follicles all over the cervix. Cryo to the cervix has been a great way to cure it in my hands - seems to open up all the glands, release the inflammation and settle down the mucus secretion back to normal. If she had BV then it is likely that the mucus glands have become inflamed and subsequently overproductive, with some of them being blocked keeping the local inflammation going. Steve

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
