Re: Endodermal Sinus Tumor of the OvaryFrom: Steve Raymond (eryl@intekom.co.za)Wed May 21 16:26:34 2003
As far as I am aware these tumours are very chemosensitive and a complete cure can be expected with fertility preservation. I see you have a reference from Art for a paper from Egypt, and I found one in Gynecological Oncology 40:2-6,1991 from Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Beijing, reporting 28 patients between 1962 & 1987 with germ cell tumours, 7 of them with endodermal sinus tumours, treated conservatively. Remission was attained in 18, and of the 10 who wanted to get pregnant there were 7 full term deliveries. Steve Eberhard Lisse wrote:

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
