Director of ACOG in a Op-Ed piece a few months ago admonished us all to abide by the old saw of: "Loose lips sink ships." He was urging us who are in contact with medical students not to be speaking negatively about our profession in their presence as this discourages students from seeking a career in Ob-Gyn. Yeah, there are too many of us already. I wrote back to him saying that IMHO, better that they know the reality of the practice of Ob-Gyn than have some glamorous, romantic, and unrealistic idea of what our work-a-day life like. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
