Mario, you still might want to do cystometrics fairly soon to be sure she isn't transmitting too much pressure back up into her ureters. I had a patient go over a month after Burch bladder suspension (after previous failed repairs)--she then was able to void without difficulty for the remaining 2+ years of her life until she developed a rapidly fatal leukemia. At that point, I was still using suprapubic catheters in all my Burches, so it was a nuisance rather than a real problem. Gail Waldby, MD Huron Clinic SD

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
