Retention after Pereyra procedure

Michael,

I have not only personally cut the two Pereyra sutures, I have also entirely removed them. Suture material was a monofilament (Prolene), and it was not a problem to remove them. I have even given the two stitches to the woman!

In your experience, have you ever seen a patient who really started a spontaneous voiding after so much time postoperatively? I would wait another 8-12 weeks with no problem if the patient voided at least a little bit of urine spontaneously...
