I understand the concern here, but the TNM scale was specifically designed because there was data that suggested that different stages of disease, including lymph node involvement, distant metastasis, etc., could affect both treatment and prognosis. Several reputable organizations have attempted to formulate similar scales for endometriosis, notably the ASRM (formerly the American Fertility Society), without widespread acceptance. I think part of the reason is the lack of understanding about the implications of widespread disease, etc.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
