Yeah, and even for patients that I only see VERY briefly, VERY rarely, I write some bits and tidbits on their chart that I can look at to be able to say "Hey, how did it go with your father's surgery last year," or "Did your kid's team win the championship this summer," or "Are you STILL smoking?!? Didn't your husband quit already?" and make them feel like I really remember everything about them. Actually, sometimes I DO, but it's nice to have back-up.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
