I first got my menstrual at age ten and started going to my mom's gynecologist around the age of 12 because of abnormal bleeding. And I was put on the pill to control it even though I was not having sex. The doctor took me off them after 3 months and it was regular again. I saw this same doctor until I turned 19 and was no longer on my parents insurance. Then I began going to planned parent hood for my needs. This is where I found out that I had a septum and that it had been in my records the whole time!! All I was told was that it would be hard to get pregnant. So I went to a gynecologist and was told that I needed to go threw a lot of tests and would not be able to get pregnant until I had the septum removed. I was completely crushed!! Two months later I was pregnant and had a miscarriage at 8 weeks. And I have not conceived since. A couple months ago I began going to a health clinic and the doctor there sent me to the hospital to have ultra sound done to see if I had any other abnormalities. And I found out that I have one cervix, my uterus is shaped kind of like a heart, and I have two sets of ovaries and fallopian tubes. Now my doctor at the clinic will not discuss my situation any more and says I need to seek out a regular gynecologist. My questions are:: 1) Am I going to have to have surgery to correct this or will I be able to carry a baby? 2) Could this be the reason why I have been prone to have so many bacterial infections? 3) I have really strange menstrual cycles that every few months last for a couple weeks at a time. Is it possible that I am ovulating from both sets of ovaries at the same time? 4) If I do get pregnant is it possible to get pregnant in both sides? Please answer this and give me any other information you possible could about this. It is much needed information.
