Hello and thank you. I am a neurologist in private practice in L.A., California.I have the following questions to ask regarding 2 vessel cord. Is the incidence approximately 1/500 or 1/1000 and is it just a random occurance? What is the recurrence rate in subsequent pregnancies (is it like spina bifida) or is it just random? Is there a higher incidence of 2 vessel cord in IVF pregancies; are other placental abnormalities associated with IVF? Thank you very much for your response to me.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
