OK, I'll contribute to the lifestyle survey. Graduated in 1980 only $5000 in debt. Paid it off and bought our first house within a year. Drove a '69 Chevelle into the ground during med school and residency (god, I wish we'd had the money to restore that car----it was a classic) Currently drive a Chevy Venture minivan. One kid in college, 2 in Catholic school. I work for the State of Illinois, and while the salary isn't great, I plan to retire on the excellent state pension plan when I turn 55.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
