Wouldn't it be better for her to adopt?

--

Joanne-

The option for adoption is increasingly mythical, and a Pandora's Box at the end of the rainbow.

The availability of elective abortion and the disappearance of social stigma attached to single parenthood, which includes free acceptance of responsibility for raising a child within family structure, has led to the disappearance of local availability of newborns of single mothers (typically teenagers).

This has led to explosion of the foreign adoptive market and the black market of disgorgement of unwanted babies with identified major problems in the domestic market.

The real option for adoption of a "good" baby has virtually disappeared. Overall, it is a false promise.

I don't think I have ever said anything here that you don't know.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
