canal of NuckFrom: Richard Chudacoff, MD (rchudacoff@mylinuxisp.com)Tue Oct 29 20:11:22 2002
I saw a 22-year-old gravida 0 today referred for a Bartholin’s cyst. When I evaluated this cyst, which was mostly in the labia majora. It seemed reducible and almost as if there were two separate cysts. It seems that this is probably a cyst/hydrocele of the canal of Nuck. I’ve never actually seen one before, and that was wondering if there is any diagnostic study that could be performed, short of a laparoscopy, to determine if this actually was contiguous with the peritoneal cavity. Her symptoms include enlargement during and after intercourse, but no tenderness. It was first noted in July, has not enlarged, nor has a gotten smaller. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
