Agreed. Certain registries and float pools in the Milwaukee area are paying RNs $50-$60/ hour to work in critical care areas and ICUs, which is a lot more than I make. But the work is chaotic, there is rapid turnover of patients, units are extremely short-staffed, and float staff are assigned the sickest patients in the units. Prescription for ulcers and burnout!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
