Re: Question re: endometriosis in C/S scarFrom: Braun, R. Daniel (rbraun@iupui.edu)Tue Jul 30 19:49:55 2002
Ah, the crux of the matter as to why this is different from regular endometriosis(Maybe). This is decidua when it implants and then undergoes a change back to endometrium. To have endometriosis in a c-section scar you need some endometrium coming from the uterus at the time of the c-section. But How can you find endometrium in the uterus at the time of the C-section when there's none in there during pregnancy.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
