We have had a few women take us up on this form of barrier method. It's easier and less uncomfortable than the diaphragm. The biggest barrier (no pun intended) is to get women to accept how bulky it looks. We call it the "Starship Enterprise" (take a look from the side :-). The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
