Yup.

That gets back to my comment - since all of the estrogen and progestogen compounds are pretty much generic - what pharmacuetical company is going to fund the large scale placebo trial to test these things?

We docs (etc) and the 51% of the population that is women will have to geuss our way through - and be left with espensive drugs like fosamax, actonel and evista or out on a limb with little research to sort the mess out. :(

I sorta like the 17Beta that mom nature gave me :)

I bet you guys like the testosterone mom nature gave you! There are studies out there about replacing testosterone in men with low levels to prevent osteoporosis etc. I bet most men would like testosterone if their sexual function needed it - and put up with the prostate cancer issue! And the cardiovascular issues!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
