I am a senior a Columbus South High School of Ohio. I am trying to finish up my career narative and I would like to interview an OB/GYN. It would be highly appreicated to have these questions answered:

1. How long many years of education did you have to acquire in order to actually become an OB/GYN? (not including high school).

2. During your undergraduate studies, what was your major and what in your opinoin, is the best major to go about a career in obstetrics? (pre-med, biology, biochemistry, chemistry, etc.)

3. (optional) What is your estimated income?

4. What are some of the opportunities you've found within this career?

5. Explain duties involed in this career.

6. What are your work hours? What are the most hours you've worked within a 24 hr. day? How often has this happened?

Thank you. Your assistance will be very helpful in my career narrative.

Sincerely,

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
