Just because 99% of Englishmen who die have eaten fish and chips does not mean that fish and chips are the cause of death of 99% of Englishmen. The placebo effect is extremely powerful, and I doubt that GBS is the cause of rather than the accompaniment of pathological vaginal flora. stray
