My understanding is that "second look laparotomies", is still a controversial area.I think the ACOG comments that, 'it gives the most reliable assessment of the current status, but no gurantee on the outcome'.We have stopped doing it for sometimes now.Others may disagree, but the issue is still "out-there!!"

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit.
