It is very unlikely the minor would go in for a consult about a tonsillectomy without having the parent(s) involved - but where it coems to sex and reproduction - most adults can't talk about it in the USA and so the minors are not real likely to bring the subject up. Hence the nned for the minor to seek care for herself on this issue.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
