people who use injectable contaceptive such as depo provera for a long time very often experience amenorhea. the test you have done would be normal and they will fail to bleed with progesterone withdrawal because the endometrium is already thin . what you should do is to try oestrogen instead at increased doses for two weeks and control the endometrium growth with ultrasound .than introduce progesterone in low dose for a week. she will probably bleed than. once you have that response try to induce regular cycle using clomiphene citrate for two cycles (the patient must be aware of the risk of pregnancy) .Normal status should resume than and you will shoose another contraception method.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
