fortunately not my patient - merely performed her ultrasound. Pam - your own OB history could only be characterized by high risk - fortunately for you and yours all was and is well - as is so often the case. risk assessment is all about odds - high risk is NOT invariable risk and low risk certainly is not NO risk. the questions of medicalization were very eloquently addressed in this week's BMJ to which i alluded earlier - i do feel that it is good to continually evaluate what we do. and Dan i totally agree re luck.

just my opinion - i could be wrong.
