Re: High risk pregnancyFrom: art fougner, md (evsono@pipeline.com)Thu Apr 18 12:34:00 2002
Rich - fortunately not my patient - merely performed her ultrasound. Pam - your own OB history could only be characterized by high risk - fortunately for you and yours all was and is well - as is so often the case. risk assessment is all about odds - high risk is NOT invariable risk and low risk certainly is not NO risk. the questions of medicalization were very eloquently addressed in this week's BMJ to which i alluded earlier - i do feel that it is good to continually evaluate what we do. and Dan i totally agree re luck. just my opinion - i could be wrong. art

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
