Not to be too critical, because I understand the concept. HOWEVER, when the phrase "wrest control from the care providers" is used, the implication is not complimentary and generally (I hope) unwarranted.

This is a serious comment/question...

P.S. And y'all midwives, note that she did NOT say "wrest control from the PHYSICIANS," but ALSO did not say "HEALTH care providers," only "care providers."

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
