Re: TorsionFrom: Braun, R. Daniel (rbraun@iupui.edu)Wed Apr 10 10:17:46 2002
According to my Webster's Unabridged: Tort is a Noun meaning a wrongful act resulting in injury for which the injured party can bring civil action. 2nd definition: Injury {OBS} Then there is Tort a. : Taut{Rare} Those are the only definitions in the Webster. Its origin is the Latin tortus which means twisted, but that is not the meaning in the English language. Torsion Noun the state of being twisted like the spiral twist of a vine.. The only verb allowed to describe this is twist. There is no verb form of tort, torted, or torsioned. Dan R. Daniel Braun, MD There are strange things done in the midnight sun By the men who moil for gold; The Arctic trails have their secret tales That would make your blood run cold; The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, But the queerest they ever did see Was that night on the marge of Lake Lebarge I cremated Sam McGee. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
