Re: Sibutramine in pregnancyFrom: Anna Meenan, MD (annam@uic.edu)Tue Apr 2 17:35:37 2002
It's amazing. On March 20 I heard the first reports on the news of a possible link between Meridia and 25 deaths, and today I read a quarter-page ad in our local paper implying the link is definitely proven and anyone who has ever taken Meridia should call the lawyers who placed the ad immediately. They're not wasting any time, certainly not the time it would take to actually PROVE a link. Thank goodness i never prescribed the stuff to anyone.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
