I usually have a general discussion with my patients about the hazards of extreme prematurity but most don't listen as the information "doesn't apply to them" Whenever I have a patient that I'm transferring to the level III institution I have a very frank conversation with them and at least two other family members at the same sitting about extreme premature births.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
