Difficult to say from this if she was actually threatening suicide, but if a pt is threatening suicide, you can call the police, have her forcibly taken to the nearest ER with a mental health screener on call 24/7, and they can arrange to have her committed. At least that's what we did a couple of weeks ago with a guy who came in actively threateneng. i would say if it's just suicidal ideations you would at least be on safe ground informing her husband, because she is potentially a threat to herself.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
