Action AlertFrom: Dean Huffman (dean@thehuffpeople.net)Thu Mar 21 15:00:35 2002
.. I have attached below a message from ACOG that deserves reading. I might add only that snail mail, phone calls, and FAX's are generally much more effective with Congress than e-mail. - - - - ACOG Action Alert! Email your Members of Congress to Stop the Medical Liability Crisis ACOG's On-Line Action Center features an email that you can personalize and send to your Members of Congress about the professional liability crisis. Let your Members know how this crisis affects your practice and your patients. Last week, hundreds of Fellows emailed Congress through ACOG's Action Center. These emails work! We've received calls from many Hill offices, telling us that they're being contacted by ob-gyn constituents on professional liability, and asking for more information and what ACOG wants them to do. Your emails through ACOG's Action Center can be automatically copied to us if you choose to send us a copy. We help your emails count by compiling the emails by state and bringing copies with us when we meet with Senators and Representatives. We show Congress stacks of stories and concerns from ob-gyns in their States and Districts on professional liability reform. Keep the message coming in to Congress. Add your voice and your story to those of your colleagues. Click here to email your Members of Congress: http://www.capwiz.com/acog/issues/alert/?alertid=106449&type=CO And forward this email to your colleagues! The more emails and messages we get to Congress right now, the stronger our demand for action. Not already a Key Contact? Join now and receive the Key Contact Listserv and Action Alerts. Make your voice heard on Capitol Hill! Email keycontact@acog.org to join.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
