"Back Up Your Birth Control with Emergency Contraception" Campaign

March 20th, is the kick-off of the "Back Up Your Birth Control With Emergency Contraception" Campaign.

ARHP is a campaign co-sponsor and we are urging all health care providers to take action by: - Pre-authorizing local pharmacies to dispense emergency contraception to your existing patients. - Sending letters to pharmacies to let them know that you are willing to prescribe emergency contraception and that refusal to fill such prescriptions is unacceptable. - Buying a supply of emergency contraception and offer to sell a dose at cost to all female patients of reproductive age. - Developing a standard "talk" about birth control that includes emergency contraception. - Please check out http://www.backupyourbirthcontrol.org to learn more about the campaign!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
