11th Circuit Upholds Ruling in Doctors' Suit Against HMOs Miami Daily Business Review The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld a ruling in what could become a huge class action by doctors against some of the nation's largest health insurers. While upholding the validity of arbitration agreements in contracts between doctors and HMOs, the court also agreed that the doctors' claims under the RICO Act and their allegations against the insurers of conspiracy should be allowed to proceed in federal court. http://www.law.com/cgi-bin/nwlink.cgi?ACG=ZZZS7BYC0ZC

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
