Re: Medicare Payments Cuts, Was Blues Paying 'Second Procedure'From: Anna Meenan, MD (annam@uic.edu)Mon Mar 18 09:48:33 2002
Don't know who did the initial determination. She'd been "disabled" since she was a teenager. i finally picked up the phone and called the adjudicator and said "Now look here....." and she told me the family was saying she "sometimes had no appetite". I asked her do they always take the family's word over the physician's? I believe I finally got her terminated. She quit coming to my office, anyway.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
