I was at a meeting last week and talked at some length with an MFM from Penn. We were commiserating about the whole issue of reimbursement and insurance, etc. I told him that there had been discussion on this list about union and the "million med march". He advised I contact the Pennsylvania State Medical Society because they had become quite highly organized... The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
