I delivered a Medicare pt. once. A healthy young woman who was "disabled" by depression. Took 20 mg of Prozac a day, always went off of it when she was pregnant and did fine for nine months, and then always wanted back on it when the baby was out. She had a husband with a job and some sort of health insurance. I repeatedly filled out forms for renewal of her "disability" coverage telling SSI that she was no more disabled than you or I and they kept renewing her. She got disgusted when Medicare wouldn't pay for her annual exams.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
