Yeah, it stinks, but I would do them only the following day if that is their game. Our peds have a similar problem with circumcisions on Medi-cal patients. Even though Medi-cal does not cover circs, if it is done in the hospital, the carrier denies payment for that day of hospital care, as well as the procedure! Therefore the peds will only do them in their office.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
