Re: Blues paying "second procedure" for Postpartum t/lFrom: Zach Newton (zbnewton@bellsouth.net)Fri Mar 15 17:24:41 2002
There are examples of those who work for free. Mother Theresa and Jesse Jackson are examples of a surcharge to free. In Atlanta, a very bright and competent pediatrician opted out of a enormously successful private practice, in which he had earned an unblemished record. On his own, he went about establishing a "free clinic" in the heart of the deprived area of his city. At outset, he professionally served this facility alone. He stimulated volunteerism, successfully. It thrives, many years later. He is a Coca-Cola heir. Exceptional example of true character. Perceived needs and values vary among all. I am not prepared to the exposure to risk of financial responsibility for uncompensated work I work in my community in a variety of ways with no financial reward, but only on a non-risk basis, absent criminality.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
